Fresh Off the Presses: Our Most Recent YouTube Vlogs

We Might Have Gone a Little Overboard This Time...

What started as a quick Sunday afternoon adjustment turned into a full-on, two-day DIY mountain CrossFit session. We decided to upgrade our vintage canoe water garden with a natural stone waterfall, but true to form, nothing went strictly according to plan. Grab a cold drink and join us for some beautiful chaos, heavy rock Tetris, and a serious five-star resort upgrade for our backyard frogs.

We Turned a Vintage Canoe into a Self-Sustaining Ecosystem (1 Year Later)

Our latest YouTube vlog documents the full one-year transformation of our vintage 1983 Smoker-Craft aluminum canoe into a self-sustaining water garden ecosystem. Follow our DIY journey through the North Georgia mountains as we share backyard pond building tips, native shade gardening advice, underwater LED lighting, and how our aquatic plants survived a freezing zone 7b winter. Watch the entire process from the initial landscaping prep and fish stocking to a massive spring frog explosion, plus a sneak peek at our upcoming Phase 2 mountain stream waterfall build!

May Garden Tour - We’re Calling It "Chaotic Cottage Core Maximalist"

Our full May garden tour is officially live, and this month we are leaning completely into our chaotic gardening style with the thriving canoe garden, massive hostas, and lush ferns tackling our North Georgia hillsides. Wander through the property with us as we test out a new smart bird feeder on the porch and showcase how the entire landscape magically transforms under our nighttime lighting setup. Grab your favorite drink and come explore the mountain garden in full spring bloom!

Potting a Waterfall Maple, Planting Oakleaf Hydrangeas & New Canoe Fish

Another big spring plant haul brought total chaos to the mountain house as we literally had to hacksaw a giant fern just to get it planted! Join us in our newest vlog as we tackle the steep hillside with oakleaf hydrangeas, pot a gorgeous waterfall Japanese maple, and introduce some surprise new fish to the canoe water garden. Grab a seat on the porch and watch the full weekend transformation to see how it all turned out.

That's a Lot of Plants. And Frogs.

We tackled our biggest planting day yet, adding 100 new plants to the hillside to finally bring some major color to the mountain. Between the steep climb and the "frog takeover" happening in our canoe pond, it was a wild, sweaty, and rewarding day in the dirt. Come see the transformation (and meet our new tiny neighbors) in the latest vlog.

Trading the Cabin for the City: 100-Year-Old Atlanta Loft Makeover

We traded the mountains for the city this weekend to give our 100-year-old Atlanta loft a much-needed facelift. Watch us transform a massive blank wall with a moody coat of deep navy (Starless Night) paint and build out a custom, boho-inspired plant wall for our growing indoor jungle. It took a whole lot of spackle, live-edge shelves, and repotting, but the final reveal makes the space feel completely brand new.

SNOWED IN: 6 Degrees at the Mountain House

We officially got snowed in at our North Georgia mountain house! Join us for a cozy weekend in the life as we navigate a winter storm with 6.5 inches of snow and record-breaking 6-degree temperatures. From clearing snow paths for Wally to testing our emergency heaters and Solo Stove, see how we made the absolute best of this DIY mountain life.

12 Months of DIY: Moody Bathroom, Potting Shed, & A Canoe Pond

Our third annual recap takes a look back at a truly banner year of transformation for our North Georgia mountain home. From major interior remodels like our moody guest bathroom to unique landscape features like our 17-foot canoe pond, we’re celebrating every milestone before diving into our 2026 project list.

2025 Holiday Mountain House Tour! 🎄 (Inside & Outside)

It’s finally here—our 3rd Annual Holiday Mountain House Tour! Step inside (and outside!) with us as we reveal our 2025 holiday design, featuring eight decorated trees, a vintage-inspired outdoor den, and elegant festive landscaping. We're celebrating the season with a signature cocktail and snowglobe ice cubes, and we can't wait to show you around!

Q&A 2.0 with Todd & Rob: You Asked, We Answered (Two Years Later)

You asked, and we are finally answering your questions two years after our first one. In this vlog, we're diving into everything from the ongoing mountain house remodel and our latest landscaping projects to what life is like for us as husbands and, of course, giving you an update on our favorite pup, Wally!

Season Two Recap

We've survived (barely!) another year of DIY projects, and we're here to share the highlights (and mishaps) with you. Join us as we recap our second year of remodeling projects on the mountain. From completely overhauling our upstairs loft area and guest room, to expanding our landscaping with so many plants, to those moments we'd rather forget, it's all here. Plus, we're sharing our ambitious plans for 2025 – wish us luck!

Season One Recap

We hit a big milestone -- one full year of our channel! In this episode we're recapping our last 12 months of cabin remodel projects and antics. This was a fun video to make!
